The promises of Bilker, Ihnken and Ford can cost our children millions towards their education. Let’s look at the facts….
· The State of New Jersey recommended that the Barnegat School District cut aids, greeters and administrative positions.
· The State of New Jersey provides the Barnegat School district with over 20 million dollars in State Aid.
· If a School District does not follow the State of New Jersey recommendations the state will take away state aid.
· If we follow the promises of Bilker, Ihnken and Ford we can lose millions in state aid and the Barnegat School district will be forced to cut teachers, programs for students and raise taxes.
Let’s look at the Houser, Taylor and Adorno Plan….
· Moving a Security Guard to the school front entrance.
· Purchasing a Key Pass System for every school that scans visitor’s driver’s licenses, checks for registered sex offenders and can keep track of separated parents custody schedules.
· Following the State of New Jersey recommendations so that we do not lose state aid that is necessary to educate our children.
· If a position is necessary when eliminated we will work with the State of New Jersey to reinstate the position without affecting our state aid.
